I am writing a novel about my ancestors the Featherstonhaugh’s of Westmeath/Dublin/Australia circa 1800 to 1882. I understand they were not well favoured and I have written my book be reflect with numerous indiscretions.
My great great grandfather Theobald Featherstonhaugh is proving very illusive. Family folk law says he was born in Carrick House circa 1810, unfortunately, we cannot verify this information. If anyone has further information I would be most grateful.
