Delvin St Patrick's Parade

The Parade

Delvin's Main Street will be closed from 2-5pm (approx). Diversions will be in place. Please be patient and follow the directions of the volunteer stewards.
The Parade is due to leave the assembly point (Delvin Cattle Mart) at 3pm.
The procession will head up the main street, terminating at the entrance to Lacora Glen.
There will be a viewing stand outside the Handball Centre.
Please dress for the weather - previous parades have seen sun, hail and snow!
Children MUST be supervised at all times. The parade will include heavy vehicles and it may also include stunts.
Please remember to bring your sense of humour!

Parade Participants

If you are participating in the parade, PLEASE ensure you have pre-registered with the committee and arrive at the assembly point before 2pm.

Parking

There will be NO GENERAL PARKING on Main Street, Delvin.
Limited spaces will be available at St. Ernan's School, Delvin Church and on local estates. Please keep driveways clear.
If you are a Blue Badge Holder, please alert stewards.

Refreshments

There are three pubs on Delvin's Main Street, The Caman Inn, Gaffney's and O'Shaunnessy's.
The Caman Inn serves food all day.
Leavy's Nearby and Londis are both located on Main Street, Delvin. Both serve ice cream and hot drinks. Daybreak is a short drive from the village.
There are two takeaways on Main Street. Please dispose of your litter responsibly.

Local Entertainment

Local bars will have entertainment after the parade.
