The annual Delvin St Patrick’s Parade took place on Mother’s Day (15th March). Despite a cruel wind, a loyal crowd joined us to see the bands, marching groups, vintage vehicles and comedy acts as they made their way along Delvin’s main street.
Making their parade debut were the hugely popular “Samba Mammas” from Drogheda and the Colmcille Pipe Band from Tullamore. Other features included a procession of tractors and a beautifully restored steam engine from Longford, plus guest appearances from the infamous Mr Grey and even the Honey Monster!
