Located in a beautiful countryside location just a few moments drive from Delvin's Main Street, is the Purple Raven Gallery in Crowenstown.
Lovingly curated by artist Hazel Revington Cross, this warm and inviting space is a treasure trove, packed to the rafters with exciting and unusual gifts. Handmade knitwear, palm free soaps, wood carvings, glass and pottery can be found alongside Shamanic supplies, crystals, oracle cards and even a witch's cauldron! As a gallery, the walls are adorned with works by Hazel herself and a variety of artists - a number of which are local.
The gallery hosts weekly gatherings on Saturday mornings at 11 and everyone is welcome. Each week has something different, with guided meditations, talks on various holistic topics and regular Shamanic drumming circles. Admission is free (unless otherwise stated) but donations are invited towards the coffee and cake.

I finished hanging these today...my own journey through lock down. Although we can't do our usual summer event this year and we can't have the music session and the laughter (which I so miss), you can make an appointment to come in and view what we have on display. Whilst the gallery cannot operate the way it used to (and for now we cannot have art classes & all of our Saturday morning gatherings are cancelled indefinitely) what I can do to keep things ticking over is to make it possible for individuals to arrive at an arranged time. This way you know that you are perfectly safe and you will have the place to yourself for your comfort. ... I was hoping to open on July 4th with a drumming circle on the Saturday but unfortunately it isn’t going to happen yet. The gallery relies on the Saturday events being able to take place in order for it to open.Despite rearranging the gallery to try and make more space I still cannot meet the legal requirements of two metre social distancing. The government announcement the other day specifies that I cannot open unless I can meet this requirement. I went out with my measuring tape this morning and I fail due to the width of the area we sit in. If the distance is reduced to one metre distancing, I will be able to look at holding drumming circles and meditations again on Saturday mornings. The art classes are going to be much more difficult until all restrictions are lifted and hopefully that isn’t too far away. In my head it seemed much more simple until I stood there with a tape measure and saw the reality.I know there are those who are really missing each other who really only get to meet when the coffee pot is full in the gallery and I apologise that it’s going to take longer. In the meantime, if anyone needs anything please get in touch and I will do my very best to help you.Hazel ... Thank you Steffi for your words of support. Hopefully it won't go on too much longer. Best wishes for your centre also when you get going ❤
I hope you get going soon hazel.most shops not taking much notice of two meters.
I know what you mean, im in a similar position with my Centre. Those guidelines are not helping our businesses to reopen, and let's be honest its hard enough as it us being closed sind end of March. Please don't give up hope, blessings to you x 🙏 ❤
I’m sure you’re doing your very best. Hang on in there. X
Myself and Stuart went to Ballinlough Castle to the site of where the Body & Soul festival should have been this weekend. We brought wine...we pretended we were rock stars on the stage....we brought strange outfits and dressed up as if we were at the festival (I'll take the blame for this Stuart) and we took photos. Then it was censored to look like a nice quiet moment walking in the woods reminiscing on festivals gone by. With you in spirit this weekend Body & Soul ... See MoreSee Less
