Located in a beautiful countryside location just a few moments drive from Delvin's Main Street, is the Purple Raven Gallery in Crowenstown. Lovingly curated by artist Hazel Revington Cross, this warm
and inviting space is a treasure trove, packed to the rafters with exciting and unusual gifts. Handmade knitwear, palm free soaps, wood carvings, glass and pottery can be found alongside Shamanic supplies, crystals,
oracle cards and even a witch's cauldron! As a gallery, the walls are adorned with works by Hazel herself and a variety of artists - a number of which are local. The gallery hosts weekly gatherings on
Saturday mornings at 11 and everyone is welcome. Each week has something different, with guided meditations, talks on various holistic topics and regular Shamanic drumming circles. Admission is free (unless
otherwise stated) but donations are invited towards the coffee and cake.

Two days later and the tree that used to hold all the windchimes and sparkly things has been removed and a lot of rearranging has been done. Every inch of space is going to be sacred so we can spread out, when eventually I get to open the doors again. A lot of things will have to change. It is going to be a huge challenge to get up and running again and stay afloat. It will be especially hard for the art workshops to restart ... but my thinking cap is on & I have a few ideas on how to make it work. For a lot of small businesses that had to close the past three months, the next year will be really hard for them and the future is uncertain and that's the reality of all this. Fingers crossed we will be able to hold on to all of them. Looking forward to being able to make rocket fuel again and give you all major insomnia in the not too distant future. Xxx. ... Hopefully it won't come to that 🤣🤣
As long as the weather is mild it will come in useful.
Thank you Caroline
I wish you all the best. As a non profit community centre with high rent we face the same situation. Our ethos is to keep our prices low so low income earners can afford hobbies, classes and courses. Going to be very difficult.
You can do it Hazel and we're ready when you are and will support you in any way we can.
Wishing you every blessing Hazel!!!
Good luck Hazel

It's looking like I might fit into the July category for when I'll be allowed open up...but all your favourites will be here. If anyone is in need of anything in the meantime I can pack items into a bag and leave them at the gate. Brown envelopes can be left under a stone...the old fashioned way. ... See MoreSee Less

A lovely little survey you can do...(JL) Owl researchers in Switzerland with whom we collaborate are leading an interesting study to understand beliefs and perceptions of owls throughout the world, including where and why people have positive or negative perceptions towards owls and how this may affect their conservation. They are keen to capture the attitudes and beliefs towards owls in Ireland, given that owls are so entwined in our mythology and folklore. We would greatly appreciate if you could share your views by completing the online survey: quest-etu-ssp.unil.ch/index.php/278158/lang-enIf you would like to know more about the study or to get in contact with the researchers, all the relevant information is available at that link too. ... I've been asked in a few messages the past couple of weeks what cards I have in stock and I photographed them sent on the pictures in a private message and deleted the images from my phone only to get another request. Lol. So I'm leaving them here this time. The gallery is closed but it's possible to post items or leave them in a bag at the gate to be collected. I can take payment by PayPal or it can be done the old fashioned way where money gets left under a stone at the gate 😁. ... See MoreSee Less
