The Delvin Historical Society is spearheading a research project which could reveal whether Delvin is hiding the remains of a medieval monastery, similar to those at Fore and Clonard.

A geophysical survey by a team of scientists affiliated to NUI Galway, will hopefully establish whether the land in Clonarney, north Delvin is indeed hiding the remains of an ancient, monastic site.
