McCormack’s Celebrate 50 Years

Paul, Fiona, John, Sean, Geraldine and JackSean and Breege McCormack opened their hardware and grocery store in Delvin in 1966, and on Friday 25th November, crowds of people joined Sean, John, family and staff to help them celebrate 50 years in business.

In his short speech, John McCormack thanked three generations of customers for the loyalty and support that they have shown the store over 50 years. He paid tribute to his parent’s work ethic and the ferociously long hours they put in to the business. John also recalled how his mother would have been very proud to see the celebration and recalled her as a great business woman who loved people.

David Smyth Catering was on hand dishing out hot coffees and nibbles while guests took advantage of some very special one off offers and browsed the wonderful Christmas decorations on offer in the store before Santa Claus arrived to be warmly greeted by dozens of excited children and some equally excited parents!

Congratulations to the McCormack family. Here’s to the next fifty years!
