Inspiration Taekwon-Do – Visit By Dylan Fitzgibbon

Inspiration Taekwon-do - Visit By Dylan FitzgibbonAs part of Inspiration Taekwon-Do champion series we hosted a seminar with two times World Junior Champion and senior world cup Silver medallist Mr Dylan Fitzgibbon in St Patrick’s Hall Delvin. Mr Fitzgibbon travelled to Westmeath from the City of Cork on a very cold icy Sunday morning. Inspiration Taekwon-Do is a member of the Irish Taekwon-Do Assocation.

Mr Fitzgibbon started the class with a dynamitic warm up and had everyone’s attention from the start then we moved on to shield work and Mr Fitzgibbon gave examples of drills on how to build up the students speed and power. The power and speed of Mr Fitzgibbon gave everyone a target to work to. It was then time for everyone to put on their safety equipment and Mr Fitzgibbon ran through drills with the students and then some sparring techniques. Mr Fitzgibbon then explained the difference between open and blind side and showed different ways to attack both .He then explained ways on how to fight people of different sizes tall and small.

Before we knew it the class was coming to an end and Mr Fitzgibbon took the time to pose for pictures with students.

Inspiration Taekwon-Do would like to thank Mr Fitzgibbon for travelling all the way from Cork and for the attention he took with all our students. The next part of our champion series is Mr Hong Looi European Champion on the 10th February 2013 and Mr Stephen Ryan world silver medallist on 24th March 2013.
