Festival Visitor Guide

A very warm welcome to all attending Body&Soul 2019 at Ballinlough Castle.

We hope that you have a great time during your brief visit and have prepared this guide to help you look up local shops and services when you need them as well as performance times and other handy festival info.

Pre-Festival Checklist

Obviously you're going to want to get through the gates as quickly as possible. You can help yourself and others by taking note of the following pointers.

Before You Travel To Body&Soul

  1. Do you have a valid ticket? Unless you are a resident ticket holder, your ticket should have your name printed on it. You may be asked for ID to prove that you are the ticket holder. If you bought a ticket from a third party, please contact Ticketbooth to ensure your ticket is valid. A small fee will apply for name changes but this will save you time and potential embarrassment at the gates.
  2. Are you bringing children? 2 children up to the age of 12 can be admitted per adult ticket. Teenagers (13-19) are not admitted, even with a parent or guardian.
  3. Are you over 20? The festival is an over 20s event. If you look under 25, you will be asked for ID. If you are under 20, please do not try to attend Body&Soul.
  4. Have you decanted your alcohol? You cannot bring glass into Body&Soul. Please make sure you swap glass for plastic - and be careful about how you dispose of your glass too. There are recycling banks at Williams Daybreak in Delvin
  5. Have you everything you need? Scroll down for some local offers on alcohol plus other festival essentials such as sun cream, insect repellents, hay-fever treatments, pain killers, rain gear etc.

Getting to Body&Soul

Please DO NOT head straight to Ballinlough Castle! Instead, follow directions to Delvin in Westmeath and then TURN OFF YOUR SATNAV!

Delvin is well signposted and once you're here, there will be signs showing you where to go. From the N51, you will access the festival site via the L5525 at Crowenstown (look out for St Patrick's N.S.).

CAUTION

Please drive carefully when approaching or leaving the festival. The roads are narrow and bendy in places so slow down and watch out for pedestrians as well as residents who may be driving against the traffic (and who have the authority to do so).
