Part of the Delvin Book Festival.
Dr. David Murphy will deliver a presentation on the “Sons of South Hill”, Chapman, Lawrences & the Great War. Brendan Broderick will deliver a presentation on South Hill and the nuns from Flanders. There will also be an exhibition of photography featuring South Hill.
Admission will be free but donations are invited towards the DSLC Sensory Garden. Refreshments will be served.
St Patrick’s Hall was built in 1832 and began life as the original village chapel. In 1918, the chapel was given a new lease of life serving as a parish hall. The hall was fully renovated in 2010 and several community groups now make full use of the facility, with regular social dances, concerts and theatrical presentations taking place.
