After 18 years of dedicated service, Alice Reilly is stepping down as chairperson of Delvin Friendship Club.
This wonderful organisation has served our senior citizens for 23 years and Alice is keen to ensure it will be around for at least another 20! So who (if anyone) can replace Alice?
As with any committee, new faces are essential to keep things going and it is hoped that the community will come out and support the Friendship Club at their open meeting this Thursday (11th July) at 8.30pm in the Fatima Room (beside the Parochial House).
Aside from committee positions, volunteers are needed to help organise monthly get-togethers and occasional outings. If you can spare even a couple of hours per month, why not come along and find out what’s involved?
On behalf of the Delvin Community, many thanks to Alice and her committee for the work that they do.
