Senior Hurling Championship Delvin made it 2 wins out of 2 with a 9 point win over St. Brigid’s in Cusack Park this evening on a scoreline of 3-13 to 1-10. But for a St Brigid’s sending off just before half time and a fine last 15 minutes things could have been lot different. Delvin were reliant on the scores of Darragh Clinton who had a fine return of 2-10 to keep them in touch and when it was needed Tosh Clune and Alan Clune with the rest of the defence kept the supply to our front men and when Niall Williams got our second goal the writing was on the wall for the Rochfortbridge men. A great start to the campaign and now the focus turns to the next match v Lough Lene Gaels scheduled for July 31st.

Underage Our U12’s travelled to Abbottstown, Dublin on Saturday to take part in the Leinster GAA blitz. We played 3 matches against Windgap of Kilkenny, Balkyskenagh of Offaly and Fern Harriers from Wexford. 3 tough games for us with a lot learned from the experience and overall a great day was had by all.
The St Ernan’s U15 hurlers defeated Castletown on a score line of 5-20 to 3-6 in the final of the competition. Our U10 footballers hosted a successful blitz on Tuesday night last with visiting teams from Mullingar Shamrocks, The Downs and Millmount/Ballymore.
