Delvin GAA is seeking to elect a committee to manage the Handball Club. Anyone interested in helping to bring this building back into use and re-establishing this sport in the village is invited to attend a meeting at the GAA grounds on Friday 17th of June at 8pm.
A Chairde,It is with great pleasure that we can announce that in the coming weeks Delvin GAA will enter into a 3 year lease agreement with Westmeath County Council to manage the handball building in Delvin. This agreement was originally due to commence in 2019 but with the impact of covid it has been delayed until now. Westmeath County Council have done a great job in renovating the building and the next step is to elect a Handball Committee who will assume responsibility for the management of the building and the promotion of Handball in our community.A meeting to elect a committee will be held on Friday June 17th in Delvin GAA Park and we are calling on anyone with an interest in handball and who is willing help to re-establish the club to attend and lend your support.We look forward to re-launching Delvin Handball club in the months ahead and to continue the long tradition of handball in our village.Yours Sincerely,Michael KellySecretaryDelvin GAA
