Division 6 Football League
Ballycomoyle 3-17 Delvin 3-03
Delvin took to the field in their opening Division 6 League fixture on Easter Monday against Ballycomoyle. It will be a game Delvin’s footballers will want to forget as they were comprehensively beaten in a one sided affair.
Ballycomoyle started strongly and kicked some nice frees to push them clear of Delvin. A well taken goal midday through the half had Ballycomyle in a strong position by half time.
Ballycomoyle kicked on in the second half and a further two goals as well as some nicely taken points seen them run out easy winners. A hat trick of goals from wing half forward Jamie Walsh in the second half was one of the only positives Delvin can take from a poor display.

Leinster League Division 3 Semi- Final
Our hurlers are scheduled to meet Naas from Kildare in the semi-final of the Leinster League next Saturday April 9th. It is great to get these competitive games as Westmeath reaching the relegation/promotion play-off v Laois has pushed back the hurling championship start by a few weeks. Throw-in is fixed for Delvin at 3pm. Keep an eye on our Facebook or Twitter feeds for updates.
Training
Training for our hurlers continues on Tuesday and Friday nights at 8pm with football training on Thursday night at 8pm
Under-age
Our opening week of nursery was a great success with upwards of 80 kids in the Park on Saturday morning last. It continues this Saturday at 10 am for our 4-6 year olds and our U8 & U-10’s. New players always welcome.
