
The annual Delvin “Garradrimna” Book Fair will kick off at 12 noon at the Cattle Mart in Delvin, this Sunday – 30th April. Organisers are expecting to offer more than 30,000 books from as little as €1 each, alongside live music, guest readings, children’s activities, a craft fair and more.
As usual, admission is free and there will be ample car parking provided on site.
Allow Time For Your Journey
If you are travelling to the annual Delvin Book Fair, you will need to be aware that a section of the N52 is currently closed and that the following diversions are in effect.
Southbound (Delvin to Mullingar)
Traffic wishing to travel southwest on the N52 towards Mullingar should travel west on the R395 from Delvin through Collinstown to Castlepollard then proceed south along the R394 from Castlepollard to Mullingar.
Northbound (Mullingar to Delvin)
Traffic travelling north on the N52 should not exit the N4/N52 at Junction 16 (N52 Dundalk / Delvin / Mullingar Centre), but should continue on the N4 west-bound exiting at Junction 17 (R394 Castlepollard / Mullingar West) and proceeding north along the R394 to Castlepollard, then follow the R395 east-bound through Collinstown rejoining the N52 in Delvin.
Please note: some of the roads being utilised in the above diversions are NOT suitable for the level of traffic that is currently using them. Please allow plenty of time for your journey and drive carefully.
