Delvin Hospice Homecare is a branch of North Westmeath Hospice and raises funds to provide specialist palliative care services ensuring that people who are coping with life threatening illnesses, death or bereavement can access appropriate home care and support.
There are 5 nurses employed at present and are substantially funded by the North Westmeath Hospice Committee, and those nurses provide palliative care for patients in their own homes.
As part of the palliative care service, the North Westmeath Hospice has 2 palliative care beds at The Camillian Fathers Centre in Killucan and 2 dedicated in-beds in the “Ciuin” suite in Mullingar Hospital.
