Delvin Hospice Homecare

Delvin Hospice Homecare

Delvin Hospice Homecare is a branch of North Westmeath Hospice and raises funds to provide specialist palliative care services ensuring that people who are coping with life threatening illnesses, death or bereavement can access appropriate home care and support.

There are 5 nurses employed at present and are substantially funded by the North Westmeath Hospice Committee, and those nurses provide palliative care for patients in their own homes.

As part of the palliative care service, the North Westmeath Hospice has 2 palliative care beds at The Camillian Fathers Centre in Killucan and 2 dedicated in-beds in the "Ciuin" suite in Mullingar Hospital.

This evening we presented €30,000 to Mr John Shaw, Chairman of North Westmeath Hospice!
This money was generously donated by the people of Delvin & surrounding areas in the last year! We really appreciate all your support & Thank everyone who has hosted different events throughout the year!
It cost €230,000 in 2017 to provide palliative care services in North Westmeath between nursing care in 2 Hospice beds allocated at Mullingar Regional Hospital & 2 beds at St Camillus, Nursing Centre, Killucan & Hospice Homecare, a social worker, counselling service, bereavement support & Complementary therapies.
Without your generosity and support, this wouldn't be possible!
Thanks again!
