Did you know that Sir Walter Raleigh planted Ireland’s first potatoes in Clonmellon. They even have an obelisk to prove it! To honour their heritage, the community will host their annual Potato Festival on Sunday 16th September from 2pm.
Once again the event promises an afternoon of entertainment for all the family with live music by The Paupers & The Many Mores, cooking demonstrations by chefs from Dublin & Navan, games, educational talks, food stands and lots more.
Admission will be €5 per adult, €3 per child or €10 for a family of 2 adults with 2 children. Pay at the gate or pick up a wristband from Clonmellon Community Centre between 11am & 12 on Saturday 15th.
Wishing our neighbours every success with this years’ festival!
