Christmas 2020

I will be taking a break from the website and social media channels between Tuesday 22nd December and Tuesday 5th January.* Scheduled content will appear at intervals but messages might not be reviewed and any “live” posting will be at my discretion.

I have listed below, responses to the most common matters that I receive enquiries about each year over the festive period, plus links to supports for those who may need them.

Animal Welfare

If you have concerns about the welfare of an animal over Christmas, please contact one of the organisations listed here.

Bottle Banks

If the containers at the garage are full, please do not leave bottles and boxes laying around. Take them home with you and try again a few days later.

Christmas Mass

Christmas mass times are as follows:

  • Christmas Eve at 4pm and 6.30pm
  • Christmas Day – Killulagh at 9.30am and Delvin at 11am

Christmas mass in Delvin will be ticket only but a speaker will be placed outside. You can also watch live services online here. Mass in Killulagh will be offered behind closed doors. A loud speaker will be placed outside and parishioners are asked to remain in their cars.

Delvin Garda

Gardai will be available 24/7 over the Christmas break. Call 086 858 3049 (patrol), 044 938 4000 (control room) or 999 in an emergency.

On the days that Delvin Health Centre is closed, please contact MIDOC on 1850 302 702.

If you are having difficulties and need help, please click here to view a list of helplines.

Lost / Found Pets

Messages will be reviewed at my discretion over Christmas so I cannot guarantee that I will be able to assist with lost or found pet appeals. One of the organisations listed here might be able to help.

Last post dates can viewed here. There will be no mail collection on Christmas Eve and no collection or delivery on Monday 28th.

Power Supply Issues

If you have issues with your power supply over Christmas, visit ESB Power Check. If there is a local fault and it is not listed there, call 1800 372 999.
