The communities of Clonmellon & Delvin welcome you to Body&Soul 2018 at Ballinlough Castle.

This guide has been put together to provide all the information required to make this year’s event as enjoyable and as stress free as possible for everyone.

If you are visiting, please support our local economy by shopping at local stores. 


If you are a resident, you will find all the information you need here.

Age Restrictions

  • Your ticket will admit one adult (aged 20+) and up to 2 children up to the age of 12.
  • Teenagers (13-19) are not permitted.
  • ID (driving license, passport or Garda ID) will be required.


Alcohol Policy

Each individual is permitted to bring:

  • 24 x 500 ml cans of beer, cider or ready mix drinks, or
  • 1 x 750ml bottle of spirits, or
  • 3 x 750ml bottles of wine or 1 x 2 litre wine box

GLASS IS NOT PERMITTED! All wines and spirits etc must be decanted in to plastic bottles before you can be admitted. 
Note: You can only bring alcohol in on first admission. You will not be permitted to bring in further supplies of alcohol once you have been wristbanded.


Day Pass Holders

Saturday and Sunday ticket holders are not permitted to bring any alcohol with them. It will be confiscated at point of wrist-banding.

Camping is also not permitted with a day ticket. You must leave the festival site when the stages close on the day of your visit.


Last Admission Times

No new admissions after 11pm on Friday 22nd, 10pm on Saturday 23rd and 6pm on Sunday 24th.

Please note that if a wristband is removed or it appears to have been tampered with, you will not be permitted to re-enter the festival site.


Festival Essentials In Local Stores

Barry’s Pharmacy
Barry’s Pharmacy will be open each day (except Sunday) from 9am – 6pm. In-store you will find hay fever remedies, sun creams, antiseptic lotions, painkillers and everything else you might need! Private car park to side of premises. Telephone 044 966 4301.

Located just a short drive from the festival site, Daybreak is a modern garage and convenience store with a ample parking available. The store offers a full off-license, hot-deli and in-store bakery alongside all your festival essentials. Glass recycling banks are also available on-site. The store will be open Friday, Saturday & Monday from 7am and from 8am on Sunday.

Gaffney’s Bar & Lounge and The Blue Hackle (both on Main Street Delvin) will also offer off-license sales.

Michael Leonard

Michael Leonard will be open from 9am each day for your lottery tickets, mobile phone top-ups and general grocery needs. Cash back available.

Topline McCormacks

Located on Main Street Delvin near the ruins of the old castle, you will find McCormack’s Stores. They have a range of essential although not always obvious festival goods from waterproof gear to torches. Open each day (except Sunday) until 6pm. Telephone 044 966 4124.

  • Take N52 towards Delvin
  • Travel through Delvin turning right in Delvin onto the N51
  • Follow N51 turning left at Crowenstown National School onto the L5525
  • Travel M3/N3 North past toll plazas to N3 Kells roundabout
  • At N3 Kells roundabout take 1st exit N52 towards Clonmellon
  • In village continue on N52 into Delvin
  • Travel into Delvin turning left onto the N51
  • Follow N51 turning left at Crowenstown National School onto the L5525
  • Travel on N51 turning right onto the L5525


The routes leading to and from the carparks are narrow and winding in places. Although traffic controls will be in place, local residents may be driving against the flow of traffic. Please drive with extreme caution at all times.


Festival Opening Times

  • Campsites will open at 12 noon
  • Main arena opens at 3pm

The Camán Inn
The Camán Inn, Delvin, is a homely village pub with comfortable bar, heated smoking area and car park to the rear. Home cooked food is served all day everyday from 9am, so call in for filling breakfast, tasty lunch or a dinner treat.
