Unperturbed by the rotten weather we have been experiencing this year, Delvin Tidy Towns have been hard at work building on the success enjoyed since the village returned to the national competition two years ago.
Work has continued on clearing the grounds of St Mary’s Church and passers-by will have noted that the grounds are now protected by newly refurbished gates. In addition, hanging baskets were put out along the main street on Monday adding a splash of colour to the village.
Remember that you can help the local campaign by keeping your own piece of Delvin clean and free from litter. Remind your children to take drink bottles and other rubbish home with them and if you have a pet dog, clean up after it!
The committee are holding a church gate collection on Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th June to raise much needed funds, so please take pride in your town and give as much as you can.
