Delvin Historical Society will present a talk on the recent archaeological (geophysical) investigation carried out on lands adjacent to Clonarney / Church graveyard, Delvin, on Thursday 15th July 2010 at St Patrick’s Hall.

The presentation will be delivered by Dr Roseanne Schot and Dr Ger Dowling from the Department of Archaeology at NUI Galway. They will also discuss other monastic sites for comparison, as well as some of the older, pre Christian religious centres in the region such as Tara and Uisneach.

Dr Manfred Peter, author of “On The Trail Of St Wendelin” will also be in attendance to talk about his research in to St Wendelin.

The programme will commence at 8pm and admission will be €3.00. All welcome.
