Delvin Friendship Club

Members of Delvin Friendship Club at the reopening of St patrick's Hall, March 2010 For the last 14 years, the Friendship Club has provided a welcoming, informal and busy social outlet for local senior citizens.

Attendees can chat with friends, enjoy a cooked dinner and participate in a range of activities including cards and bingo. Guest speakers are also invited and, to date, presentations have been given on subjects including health care, reflexology, personal security and gardening to name but a few.

The group also organises field trips which have previously included a 4 day break taking in Westport, mass at Knock and a boat trip in Killary. Shorter trips are also arranged, and an annual Christmas dinner is arranged at one of the local hotels.

The Friendship Club meets from 11am on the fourth Thursday of every month at the newly refurbished St Patrick’s Hall off Main Street, Delvin.

New members are always welcome.
