Youthreach
Youthreach is part of the national education and training programme which is designed for unemployed school leavers aged 15 to 20.
The programme provides participants with the opportunity to learn useful new skills and to work towards receiving a recognised certification.
In February 2009, Delvin Youthreach moved in to their brand new centre on the ground floor of the new Courtyard development in the village centre. Now supported by spacious, new facilities, Youthreach has now been able to extend the range of subjects offered…
Health Related Fitness
This includes trying out a wide range of fitness techniques, including full access to the new state of the art handball alley located in the same complex.
Food and Cookery
Fast becoming a very popular course with students and staff alike, mainly because this takes care of everyone’s lunch.
Digital Photography and Visual Awareness Workshop
Participants in Delvin Youthreach took part in a three-day workshop in June with local, professional photographer, Tim Durham. The workshops stimulate visual awareness, looking at the principles of composition, while teaching some simple technical skills with the camera and encouraging creativity.
Delvin Youthreach also covers child care, beautycare, crafts and soccer on the nearby Astroturf.
