Delvin, Co. Westmeath - Summer 2010

Launched in September 2009, DelvinVillage.Com is a busy community website promoting news and events in the village of Delvin, County Westmeath.

DelvinVillage.Com provides local information, news and special features for residents and visitors. It is also a popular reference point for ex-Delvin folk living in the USA and Australia.

The website has received consistently excellent feedback from personal, professional and even government users, and site content is regularly referenced by local and national media.

DelvinVillage.Com is a not for profit community website. However, there are some costs incurred in its operation and on this basis, a small charge is applied to businesses who wish to advertise their services on the site. The cost of a full advertising package is €5 per month – that’s just €60 per year. In return, you will receive valuable exposure on a growing medium.

So why not make an enquiry?

Frequently Asked Questions

Who Can Advertise?
To advertise on this website, your business should provide services to the wider Delvin area.

Will You Link To My Website?
DelvinVillage.Com will only link to a business website when a regular advertising feature has been purchased AND a reciprocal link has been created. In addition, we will vet any site requesting a link before approving it.

I Run A Community Group – Do I Have To Pay?
Community Groups will normally be able to advertise their groups and events without charge. However, where a group regularly uses meeting and / or other facilities provided by a business and that business has not itself paid for advertising on the site, our standard annual charge will apply. The group may of course negotiate with that business to agree payment terms. This is to prevent free “back door advertising” for non paying businesses.

I Run Occasional Fitness / Leisure Programmes – Do I Have To Pay?
If you run courses during the year for say six weeks at a time and you charge people to join that course, you will be charged at a rate equal to 25% of your standard charge for one person joining your course, subject to a minimum of €10. The charge will be applied for each set of courses you run, subject to a maximum contribution of €60 per year.

Why Do I Have To Pay For Advertising On A Community Website?
The website costs money to run and to maintain. In addition, considerable time is spent on developing and promoting it. The website is being run for the benefit of the local community and it already enjoys over 3,000 visits per month. €5 a month from local businesses towards site expenses in return for advertising on the internet is actually great value!

Which Payment Methods Do You Accept?
Payments can be accepted by cash, cheque or credit card (Paypal).

Is The Site Properly Run – Is It Safe?
The site is operated by a professional web consultant. The website itself is hosted on a monitored, state of the art server network in Dublin and every effort is made to ensure that all systems are kept as secure as possible.
